Hannah Belle bought the story to life with her expressional and emotional narration. Perfectly matched to Q his impressionisms were spot on and his deep low dominating voice was so sexy. His accent would make any woman buckle at the knees. Holy all hells of hotness, Jacob Morgan’s portrayel of Q was more than delicious. NOTE: It’s a Dark Taboo Contemporary Romance, not suitable for people sensitive to grief, slavery and non-consensual sex. It’s dark and erotic, disturbing and heartbreaking. It’s a psychological thriller laced with mystery, suspense and action. I found this story had so much within it. It made me question my beliefs and blurred my moral lines. I loved the raw and descriptive emotions that this book has, Pepper strips her characters so bare that at times I found it challenging to read. I am hooked now on Pepper Winters writing style and have added all her books to my TBR shelf. This is the first book of Pepper Winters I have read and it has shifted my views on dark romances and taboo stories.
